None of the Above

For the first time I will sit this one out because I simply do not see a choice for the good ole' USA. My friend Beast makes some good points here but I don't see great things on the other side either.

I know some of you will say I have no right to complain if I don't vote but please rember; voting is a right not a requirement. I take my vote seriously and I have no choice but to sit it out; I don't see us any better of with either ticket.

I do seriously hope you consider. Obama looks like a great choice of a leader to lead America out of the quagmire.

Thanks for your comments on my blog. I agree the two party system we currently have is broken. We have a bunch of blind political operatives on both sides spewing out the party talking points without really examining who and what they are voting for. The problem is, that we have career politicians on both sides of the isle who are running congress, and they do so to propel their own interests. Both sides will be rotten until we do something to fix that, and the only way to do that is to ensure term limits on our congress, presidential cabinet members, and the Supreme Court. Until we start getting new blood, including other political parties into the political system, very little will change, and we will continue to run the same political cycles over and over. It's too bad you aren't voting period, which is of course your right and a statement in itself, but you can always write someone in or vote for a third party candidate who better represents your views.

Uh...Okay, Then

Interested, I am of the beliefe that if you dont vote you have no right to complain.

I do have a question for you though, why sit out? I do not like either choice, I think they both suck, but like it or not one will be elected and it so happens one was.

If you dont vote they will still be elected like it or not. I know it sucks to say or think, I will vote for the lesser of two evils, but what if the person you dont vote for turns out to really destroy our nation?

As a side joke, I down loaded the song (it's the end of the world as we know it) by R.E.M as a ring tone for my phone, and when people ask about my choice of ring tone, I tell them it is because were living in an (obamanation). Rick b

Rick there are many who agree with you and I respect the view. But this is something that was very difficult for me. It was likened to that old addage of how do you beat your wife, with a stick or a brick. For me, neither is acceptable.

Since it is my right to vote or not I chose not. I didn't, however, give up my right to scrutenize the government and to have an opinion.

You made me laugh with your joke and I really needed a laugh today.

Anyone challenging the Republican ticket has to be smarter than the average Republican.

First, you have simian Bush in office. Two wars, one Guantanamo Bay, and 8 yrs later, America is still stuck in its own quagmire, and an economic hell. You have to hand it to the Republicans. They really do nominate the worst of morons.

Take a look at the current ticket. Mc Cain looks like he could croak anytime soon, and Palin looks like the Barbie doll from Mattel commercials: All looks but no brains.

I dare say the next Republican ticket has to come from the zoo. Presenting the next Republican Prezidential heavyweight........Dumbo the Elephant!!!!
