Perfect: What does it mean?

“If you wish to converse with me,” said Voltaire, “define your terms.” That might be a good rule to follow here as well.

per•fect–adjective

1. conforming absolutely to the description or definition of an ideal type: a perfect sphere; a perfect gentleman.

2. excellent or complete beyond practical or theoretical improvement: There is no perfect legal code. The proportions of this temple are almost perfect.

3. exactly fitting the need in a certain situation or for a certain purpose: a perfect actor to play Mr. Micawber; a perfect saw for cutting out keyholes.

4. entirely without any flaws, defects, or shortcomings: a perfect apple; the perfect crime.

5. accurate, exact, or correct in every detail: a perfect copy.

6. thorough; complete; utter: perfect strangers.

7. pure or unmixed: perfect yellow.

8. unqualified; absolute: He has perfect control over his followers.

9. expert; accomplished; proficient.

Noreligion,
First let me say this, I only post on this blog, outside of that I do not know interested, I do not know her real name and we have never meet. I say this because you have asked me a few questions and before I can reply, Interested shuts down the topic. So I do not want you thinking that I am dodging questions because the topic was shut down.

Now you asked me this question but the topic was shut down, so I will answer it here.

You said. noreligionblog said...

Rick, If Eve was perfect yet able to be deceived. What does that say about a perfect god being deceived? Please think and not just parrot what you have been taught.

God according to the Bible cannot be deceived because not only is he perfect but he is all powerful, and knows everything, He can see the future and the past, He even knows the deepest thoughts of Man. So if this is true how can a God that know everything, even if your lying to Him be devived?

Also despite what you think but I do not simply parrot what I'm told, I read the Bible for myself and do my own research, do I know everything? No I do not.

Interested told me before, when she was growing up she had many questions and sought out many people, Pastor, the average Joe's you name it, no one could answer her questions. Then I came along and have been able to answer her questions, She does not always like or agree with me but I can for the most part answer her questions. Rick b

So god who 'saw the future' (in a crystal ball) and knew Eve would be deceived by a talking snake he created, put Eve, the snake and the tree together in the garden in spite of knowing the outcome? Don't know about you but that is the most cruel and inhuman story that deserves to be listed right next to Hitler, the genocide in Rowanda, the genocide of the Kurds, etc...

Yes you do read the bible but you ignore what it says when it disagrees with your theology. For example, my daughter cursed and rebelled against me, would you help me stone her to death? If not, why not?

Rick B said...

Noreligion said my daughter cursed and rebelled against me, would you help me stone her to death? If not, why not?

It is in fact you who do not read and understand the Bible. This story about stoning was FOR THE JEWS ONLY!

The thing many people ignore or do not understand is this, In the Old Testament, when we started out it was Simply Humans. No various groups.

One race, the human race, but after the Flood came the tower of Babel, that was when God came and broke up the human race into various nations and races of People.

After that, God took a pagan who did not even know God and the guy followed false gods. God took this guy and created the Nation Israel and created the Jews.

Now we had Jews and gentiles, All the "Rules" or Laws God gave to the Jews about Diet restrictions or stoning rebellious kids or eye for eye Ect, only apply to the Jews.

If you tell me I am wrong, then show me chapter and verse where I am wrong. God set it up this way to show everyone that great blessing and awesome protection from enemies came along with following God. But on the other hand severe punishment came along with rebellion.

Non-Jews or Gentiles could follow God and convert to Judaism, but then had to follow these laws.

Then once Jesus came into the World He made a new convent with people, Believe on Him and be saved, No more following the Jewish laws and needing temples and offering blood sacrifices.

But I know you or interested will say, or ask, Why then do we still have them? It's because the Jews do not believe Jesus is the Messiah, so they stick to following Moses and the laws. So Noreligion, it is you who does not understand the Bible, or you do but ignore it. If you simply sat down and read it and not read it looking for every possible problem you would understand all this.

I'm not saying you need to believe it, but you would understand it. Rick b

What was it your lord said in Matthew 5:18? Something about not one jot or tittle of the law shall be changed? What did he say in verse 19 about breaking the least of the commandments and what did he say about teaching others to break them?

Could you explain a little better what it is exactly you are looking for or are trying to say here? Rick b

About Matthew 5:18, lets back up and look at verse 17 speaking about the law.

Do not think that I have come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil (Mat 5:17).

Now, the law required death for disobedience. Jesus came to fulfill the law by dying for our disobedience. He came to fulfill the prophets where Isaiah said, All we like sheep have gone astray; we've turned every one of us to our way; and God laid on him the iniquities of us all (Isaiah 53:6).

He came to fulfill the law and the prophets, I haven't come to destroy it, I've come to fulfill it, And that is why Paul the apostle wrote,

Christ is the end of the law to those that believe (Romans 10:4)

Because he has brought us into a new relationship with God that involves our faith in Jesus Christ as the basis for our righteous standing before God for he fulfilled the law, He did not come to bring an end to it but to fulfill it and he fulfilled the requirements of the law for us dying in our place. Rick b

Rick b said...

Whosoever [he said,] therefore shall break one of the least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven (Mat 5:19).

Ok, Jesus was asked the question, What is the greatest commandment?

What did Jesus say? He said Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, with all thy strength and with all their mind. Then He said And the second is just like it; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself then He said,

In these two are all the law and the prophets(Matthew 22:36-40). This sums up the law and the prophets. If as I said to interested before, If I do these two things then I am, keeping the entire law.

Paul the apostle said, For love is the fulfilling of the law and he who loves has fulfilled the law(Romans 13:8).

Now the law was given in negative terms, thou shalt not, thou shalt not, thou shalt not. Jesus turned it around to the positive: thou shalt love the Lord thy God, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself and therein is the fulfillment.

Whats wrong with Loving people? Would you as I said to interested before, say I love you and not try to kill or harm you? Or would you rather me not call my self a christian and go back to my old self where I did deal drugs and did steal and tried to kill people?

[And] if a man would teach others to break the commandments, he will be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but he who teaches those to keep the commandments shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven (Mat 5:19).

Then Jesus replied with something that must have made them scratch there heads with wonder, because He said,

For I say unto you, That unless your righteousness shall exceed that of the scribes and the Pharisees, you will in no wise enter the kingdom of heaven (Mat 5:20).

Sorry but were simply not perfect and able to keep the entire law, at least not in the original sense of keeping each piece perfectly, but I can keep the entire law if I have it summed up into loving God and loving my neighbor. Rick b

Did you give the wrong Chapter and verse? Matthew 15:3-4 says, Mat 15:3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Mat 15:4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

No mention of Lightning from the finger tips, so I am confused at what your saying or asking. Rick b

Ok, I went back and re-read this and Matthew and I see where this is Going, your talking about Moses and the ten commandments. But as I pointed out before to you, the laws were given to the Jews. It was the Jews not us gentiles that had to follow the Laws, like stoning the rebellious kids.

Then when Jesus came along he made a new Covenant, it was Grace for ALL, Jew and gentile and the new LAW to follow is Love, Love God and Love thy Neighbor and by Love we keep and fulfill the entire law.

Read the Book of Romans and Galatians, We cannot keep the law if we try and follow the law to the letter, and if we decide we want to forgo grace and live under the law, then we will be cursed because we simply will be living under bondage. So if you want to talk about being tested, then I just laid it out.

If you think I am wrong then show me, I told you what to read to see that I am correct, and their are other books, those two are just for starts, their are others to read. Rick b

God does not need a crystal ball, I do not agree with you because, Just like it says in the Bible, can the clay say to the potter, why have you made me?

We do not sit down and talk among ourselves and ask, will the porcelain like being turned into a toilet? Then being crapped on all the Time? We simply build things, we do not care if the things like being built or not.

Now even if God knew what would happen and let it happen He still can do that, it is His Choice. But here is what you ignore, God gave us free will and choice. We choose to rebel against God, How is us choosing to rebel His fault?

Then even though we rebelled, He made a way for us to be redeemed and brought back to Him. Now again we have a choice, Believe and be saved, or do as you and Interested do, Claim He does not exist and write about Him and claim He is a monster.

You are making your choice, I'm making mine. We have free will and that does not make Him cruel. The Hitler analogy or the genocide analogy does not work because, They had no choice, People were killed with no say in the matter. There was no love or grace shown to them.

Human monsters killed at will and did not care, God gave us a choice, we choose to rebel, then God made a way for escape but still many refuse or say thats not good enough. Rick b

Dear RicK B, Unsaved Fake Christian Trash:

Part 2

We delight in informing you that, contrary to your sissified view of things, the Bible isn't a tiny pamphlet with nothing more than namby-pamby verses that make the Lord Jesus sound like some prancing homosexual florist blowing air-kisses to everyone who comes in His overly-fragranced path.

There are plenty of verses in the Bible that reveal what Jesus plans to do to
people like you who ignore 99% of His Word in favor of emphasizing the two or
three verses that, when taken completely out of context, create a soft, cuddly
Jesus that more reflects your childish need for an imaginary friend straight out of a Disney cartoon than it does the authentic Jesus who shall sit on the White
Throne of Judgment of the Bible!

The real Jesus approved of His Father's command that children who curse their
parents be put to death (Matthew 15:3-4). In fact, Jesus chastised the Pharisees for failing to kill children who defied their parents' wishes (Mark 7:9-13). Jesus told us we are to live our lives in utter fear of God for God has the power not only to kill us but also to torture us forever in Hell (Luke 12:5).

Jesus told His disciples to bring before Him any man who didn't believe in Him
and to violently slaughter that man while Jesus watched (Luke 19:27).

Jesus killed one man by having his body eaten by a swarm of worms because the man failed to give Jesus His due (Acts 12:23).

Jesus struck a Jew blind for thwarting His teachings (Acts 13:8-11).

Jesus struck a man dead for failing to listen well (Luke 1:20).

noreligionblog said...

Part 3

Jesus took the lives of a couple by scaring them to death for not forking over all of the money they made on a real estate transaction (Acts 5:1-10).

Jesus had such a hot temper, not only was he wont to flip over merchants' tables (Matthew 21:12)

He even killed a fig tree for failing to bear fruit even though figs weren't in season (Mark 11:12-14).

Of course, Jesus knew He didn't have enough time to torture every sinner while
He was alive, so He promised to do much more after He passed. Jesus said
that, come Judgment Day, sinners will be gathered together and hurled into a
furnace of fire where there will be uncontrollable wailing and gnashing of teeth
(Matthew 13:41-42, 50). Entire cities of people who don't believe in Him will
suffer a fate worse than that of Sodom and Gomorra (Mark 6:11). Jesus said
that God will take vengeance on nonbelievers by burning them "in flaming fire" (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9). The Lord will create horse-like locusts with human heads, women's hair, lion's teeth and scorpion's tails that will sting and inflict savage pain on sinners for five months (Revelation 9:7-10).

After God sends fires, plagues and beasts God to Earth, the world will be
covered in unburied dead bodies rotting everywhere while good Christians will
"rejoice over them and make merry, and shall send gifts to one another"
(Revelation 11:5-10). Meanwhile, the smoke of the burning, rotting bodies will
ascend and plague the Earth forever (Revelation 14:10-11). And the smell will
attract scavenger birds that will feast upon "the supper of the great God"
(Revelation 19:17-18).

Jesus will send an earthquake to kill 7,000 people (Revelation 11:13). He will
inflict bodily sores, turn the seas and rivers to blood, scorch everyone with fire, cause people to consume their own tongues. Oh, and He'll cause horrendous
storms, too (Revelation 16:1-21).

Now, what was it you said about unconditional love? In the United States, if you engaged in the acts Jesus promised to do, you would find yourself in prison for the rest of your life. Contrary to the way you view Him, Jesus was no sissy! He doesn't sit around meekly crying over sinners not worshiping Him enough - He kills them. And then tortures them for good measure!

So, phony Christian, continue ignoring all the parts of the New Testament you
don't like, and latch onto the little nancy-boy verses you prefer. But bear in mind that the single page of the Bible you like to quote will incinerate in less than a second when your sorry ass is hurled into the furnace of an everlasting Hell!

Praying those who pick and choose which parts of the Bible to quote are the first plunged into the fiery abyss,

Also that Church took every verse out of context and twisted it to fit what they believe, they are so clueless and leading people astray that it's not funny. I do not have time to go over every verse and explain them to you or them, and I suspect you would not want to hear the truth anyway.

After a suitable time for contemplation, no matter how seemingly brief, it was determined by unanimous consent of all True Christians present the following findings of fact:

1. You are a thoroughly annoying person;

2. Your presence in God's Glory would make it extremely difficult for "Heaven" to live up to its name; and

3. Therefore, you have been damned to an everlasting Hell, to have your flesh gnawed at by voracious hoofed demons.

The Lord has specifically asked us to remind you that your consignment to perpetual torture at the hands of deranged beasts of His making should in no manner be construed as any indication that the Lord has, by either design or omission, discontinued His unconditional love of you. And, further, you are not to construe our relief in the knowledge that we shall not be sharing God's Glory with someone as appallingly wretched as you (or the look of sublime delight that flashes across our otherwise inscrutable faces when we contemplate the agony of your much deserved destiny) as diminishing our love for you as True Christians.

Wishing you a speedy descent,

Noreligion you better read better, I never said I WILL GIVE him a taste of hell. Yes I can say in love I want to beat a worthless dog, Nothing wrong with removing garbage.

Then why is it you guys tell us were wrong for being believers and you despise us and our beliefs, but then when you feel we do not live up to those beliefs you call out losers for that, Make up your mind, Follow Jesus or dont follow Jesus.

Then the Bible talks about false prophets and teachers as being Dogs, so it's not wrong for me to say that. I can beat people if they are leading people into hell, The Bible does not teach that, and is it right if I do that? No, but at least I am being honest, just making that clear.

But this does not change the fact that you cannot handle the truth, and I am guessing that a former poster who was a very GOD hating atheist who went by beast has been gone for over a year and has no done anything with His blogs in the same amount of time, I suspect he died and went to hell, sad as it is, I dont want to see people go their, but I suspect he is their. Then you cannot use the Word to show me I am wrong and you yourself clearly do not know it, yet you act like you do.

Then I gave no death threat to you, I simply stated Beast seems to have dropped of the face of the earth, he was clearly an angry God hater and I suspect he is in Hell right now. And God is showing you great grace by allowing you, or for that matter me also to live.

Like it or not, if you attack my beliefs or the Bible, someone will defend what they believe, me or others. You simply cannot expect to trash Christians and not expect reply's. Rick b

calling a spade a spade does not mean I hate it. I do not believe in god. The bible depicts him as a jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully and saying so is not saying I hate him. I don't believe in him period. BTW, I never said you made death threats to me, I said you made a thinly veiled wish of death to me.

Rick b said...

Interested said So let's be civil because what we are discussing is important.

That is very true. So let me ask this question. Atheists seem to have a problem with religion, well so do I. Like you guys I hate religion and I have laid out why Christianity is not a religion.

But only looking at Christianity what exactly is the problem with it or it's teachings in your guy's minds?

Here is my thinking, As I said to interested before, Before I became a christian, I was also an atheist and I did drugs, Broke into houses was seeing a shrink at the age of 5 for anger problems, tried killing two people, had the cops, state troopers and even the sheriffs over my house4 on a almost daily basis. So I now am a christian.

I do not believe or promote the things I did years ago, am I perfect now? No. Do I still have anger issue? Yes at times.

But would you rather have the Rick thats trys to follow Christ and Love my neighbor? Or the Rick that will break into your house, kill or try and Kill to get what I want?

Now here is a problem I notice. Atheists and people in general do not like Christians and take issue with what we believe, and wish we would go away, but then when we do not live up to what we preach, you guys get mad and wish we would.

Example, I want to beat a false teacher, Now I'm I'm accused of not being loving or Christ like. Well I thought you did not want "religion"? To me it's not religion, but using your generic term, if I have religion I will not want to beat you, or at least try harder to with hold a beating. But with out "Religion" I have no reason to hold back and simply deliver a beating.

You cannot have it both ways, No religion and then have religion when it might save you from a beating. Just my thinking. Rick b

This is so not true, but then again, no matter how much I try and show you, you simply reject the evidence and only believe what you want to believe. You refuse to see the love and grace because you want to believe this about God. Thats shows me you have no interest in the truth and it shows a hatred for God by rejecting the truth.

You are absolutely right Rick about having it both ways. I believe (yes have faith) that you are a good person now because you choose to be. Maybe he was bipolar? The teachings of god and Jesus are at worst cruel and at best teachings of other cultures around. In Jesus case his teachings are pious fraud (look up the term). The bible is in no way scientifically accurate and contains many internal contradictions. If you think not apparently you have not read past the first two chapters of Genesis. Trust me when I say this interested, I am not a good person, not even a christian. I am being honest about my self, I can and am at times a real jerk and I have made women cry and even a few men as a christian. I can and do push people to the breaking point and in the sports scene, I love fighting. I love mixed marital arts and have done Judo and submission style fighting.

I have no problems being real and honest with people about who I am or my flaws. I just went to the movies and saw Repo men with Forest Whitaker and Jude Law.

There was a scene where a extending metal police baton was pulled out and used. I thought, dang, I want one of those. I went and bought one, 21 inches and it weighs a pound. it fits in my pocket and you would never know I have it on me.

Would I ever use it? You bet I would, If I felt my life was in danger I would pull it out and beat someone with it. Why am I saying this? Because not only am I being honest about my self, But I believe in self defense and Jesus never said we were to be door mats and allow people to simply walk all over us.

I have nothing to hide, and Noreligion, you might find this hard to believe, but I have a wife and 3 kids and a very active sex life that would make porn stars jealous. Why did I say that? Yeah Rick, did you know Scientology has a remarkable record of getting people off drugs? That in no way gives them or Xenu any credibility.

Whats your point? I agree, but all religions, Mormons, JW's Islam, Ect can do that. But stopping drugs or drinking or what ever cannot save us, this is just a good example of man trying to clean him/herself up.

Rick, let's say I describe Hannibal Lechter from Silence Of The Lambs as a cruel, hateful, psychotic, serial killer. We both know he is a fictional character (or at least I do). Does my saying what I did mean I hate him? Unless you answer this honestly I really see no point whatsoever continuing this conversation.

Where we differ is, I believe Jesus is real, and I believe their is plenty of evidence to prove it. I agree that Hannibal is a fictional person. So You cannot hate a fictional person. Thats were we differ.

noreligionblog said...

Regardles of him being fictional or not if I believe he is, then how does my saying anything about him mean I hate him?

noreligionblog said...

ok, let me turn it around Rick. Make believe for a moment I think Hannibal Lecter was real. You said he was a cruel, hateful, psychotic, serial killer. Does it mean you hate him because I believe him to be real?

Interested said...

Rick I do think you are a good person...your wife of 15 years would not be there if you wern't.

I have to go with Noreligion on thes one because it tis the bible that depicts god in such poor light. I don't hate him because he isn't real but I do hate what he has done to our society; especially our children.

Interested said...

And I mean what a belief in him has done...as I said I don't believe he exist so he cannot physically hurt anyone. That said, the belief and the dedication I see to him is harmful in so many ways.

Rick b said...

Interested, God is not to blame, Man is. God has not done anything to society. As I showed you before Atheists are to blame for some things, Jeff pointed this out also. Then as far as religions go that do not believe in or follow the Jesus of the Bible, Like Mormons, JW's, Islam Etc, They and their false teachings are to blame, Not God. God did not do these things, they did.

Then God in the Bible is loving and graceful, as I pointed out, God gave people over 100 years to repent before flooding the earth, How is God cruel when He gave over a 100 years to repent and man choose not to.

How is God cruel when He sent His son to take our place, He died for us, How is that cruel. How is it cruel when God spared Nineveh and rebuke Jonah for wanting it destroyed.

If man ignores warnings and dies, how is that Gods fault. Even if Hannibal was real, I would not hate him because He would only be known to a select few as far as a serial killer goes, He would not be such a big name that the entire world knows of him and mentions his name all the time, People would not be writing blogs and devoting their lives to talking about him, like you guys do with God.

So yes it is different. People would not be blaming him for all the problems in society like they do God. Take the middle east for example, Everyone blames the Jews, Yet no once seems to point out they are getting lied to all the time and lied about.

America points out how the Jews fight back and kill people, They talk this up as if they were the attackers, yet they fail to mention that 1000,s of missiles are dropped on them on a regular basis.

No one blames the groups that send suicide bombers to kill Jews, but they then turn around and blame the Jews for going after the groups that sent the bombers.

People attack the Jews and blame them for having land, but when the Arab's demand land, people cry out the Jews are hateful, yet when the Jews give up land in hopes of peace, no peace ever come.

It has been said, if the Jews lay down their weapons, they will be wiped of the face of the earth. But if the Arab's were to lay down their weapons we would have peace in the middle east.

People blame God and say this is all His fault, that is so not true. People simply want to blame God instead of admitting it really is man at fault.

If you look back and blame Bush, it was not God who made Bush say or do what he did, if you know blame Obama, again it's not God who makes Obama say or do what he does, yet everyone blames God.

Please Give me a couple of example of things "God" Supposedly did to today's society that He is being blamed for. I will do my best to point out if it is really man or another religion and explain why.

I really believe Blaming God is like saying, The Devil made me do it. The Devil cannot make us do anything, we do it, not him. Rick b

Actually Rick if a product is defective it is the manufacturer that is to blame not the consumer so if you believe god created everything, sad to say it but everything is his fault. Now you want to know what he did or rather what can be attributed directly to him. What about so called acts of god like hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes etc...Those enough or are you gonna poo poo them away. Some Christians even go so far as to say hurricane Katrina was a righteous judgment of god on New Orleans and you wonder why people think Christianity is crazy.

No him a belief in him. You are absolutely right, people do the harm based on what they believe god wants them to do. I think it is child abuse to teach a child that god exist without giving them the opportunity to find out for themselves. You know as well as I do that children are brought up to believe as the parents and never given an alternative view. They must wait until they are grown to learn for themselves...that is cruel because they have been brainwashed in the ways of the parents. There is my complaint.

Ok, why is it Child abuse for a person to teach a child what they believe and not the other side, but it is ok for public schools to teach only one side and kick people out of school or take away their jobs for wanting to teach both sides? It seems to me both sides do it.

Believe it or not since I cannot prove it, I do teach my kids both sides and even read them replies from you guys here. Interested, You might even come and say, Rick I agree, both sides should be taught, but yet even if you feel that way, you only complain about the side that disagree with you. You write about the Bible and about what I believe.

I never see you write topics about how The other side is to blame. Yes I have said before that so called christians are to blame, or the stuff like Benny Hinn types are liars or the stuff like the miracle in coffee or the virgin mary of toast is fake. I can admit Christians say or do stupid stuff and will even call them on it, But will atheists admit they are know to say or do stupid stuff, or even lie and commit fraud? That is where the truth lies, can you admit wrong doing from your side? I can and have. Rick b

Can you prove God did this? Just because you blame God for it does not make it so, In these cases man did not do it, it was nature. Can you show me in the Bible where God said, I command a tornado to destroy Kansas city?

I could argue that these problems really are "man made" in the sense that according to the Bible, before man fell, the garden was perfect. Who disobeyed God? It was man, it was after man disobeyed that a curse came upon the land and man kind. You can disagree with me, but I would like you to tell God that man disobeying Him is somehow His fault. Rick b

Problem is, were not simply products, and we were perfect, not created with flaws. Again we were given free will and we chose to you are free will to choose, we choose to rebel, thats not Gods fault. Nicole laid it out really nice about how we had a choice and with out a choice we really are not free to choose and really do not have free will. Rick b

Rick that is stupid. According to you and the bible who created nature. Open your damn eyes and use the brain you claim god gave you. Everytime you answer without using your brain to think, you are spitting in your god's face. Judging from what the bible says he did to Moses sons for screwing with him, if I believed in him and I were you I would run and lock myself in the basement for a while and hope god forgets about it.

Rick b said...

Noreligion, Yes God created nature, but it was perfect like us, But after we rebelled were along with creation were cursed. So yes it was mans fault, not Gods. I dont care if you believe it or not, but it does shows you are the one that does not understand the Bible. The answer is their but you reject the answer. That shows hatred to me, because you refuse to admit the answers are their. You should at least be honest enough to say, yes the Bible does say that, do I believe it? no. Instead you say, Thats stupid. Rick b

noreligionblog said...

Rick, Nature fell??? Where does it say that in the bible or is this the Gospel of Rick B?

Rick b said...

Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Gen 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life;

Gen 5:29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This [same] shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

noreligionblog said...

The ground is the atmosphere which is where a tornado comes from? The ground is the ocean were tsunamis come from? I think you were better off sticking with the gospel according to Rick.

How about you read the bible and use the Bible to prove me wrong, You guys can only mock and change the subject, but cannot hang with the truth. Rick b

Noreligion said: "I am anxiously awaiting your attempt to prove so called acts of god are really caused by men."

Consider these:

1991 George H W Bush start his Land for Peace Talks in the Middle East and the Perfect Storm forms in New England

1992 Land for Peace Part 2 and 8/23/92 Hurricane Andrew Hits

1993 Israel and the PLO have "peace talks" Devastating flooding.

2001 "Peace talks" Part 2 and the 9/11 attacks happen.

2002 George W bush has dinner to honor Islam and 88 out of season tornadoes hit.

2005 forcible evacuation of Gaza Strip and Hurricane Katrina hits.

I'm not saying all disasters are judgments from God, but some are.

Nicole said...

1992 Land for Peace Part 2 should be part 1, sorry...

Nicole, that statement is the most inhuman piece of trash to come out of the mouth of someone who claims to love their fellow man.

Forgot to ask, what does your 'list' attempt to provide evidence of?

Rick b said...

Noreligion said Nicole, that statement is the most inhuman piece of trash to come out of the mouth of someone who claims to love their fellow man.

What did she say that was trash? It looks to me like she provide a list of disasters that happened, but these disasters just so happened to be on the same day and in the same country that tried to tell Israel to give up their land.

But as I said before, you really have no real answers, just talk trash about us, Can you do better than that? Rick b

Nicole said...

Noreligion: As I typed at the beginning of my post: "Noreligion said: "I am anxiously awaiting your attempt to prove so called acts of god are really caused by men.""

I was thinking of ways acts of God were caused by man. Sorry, I thought that was evident, my bad. I'll try to be more clear next time.

Noreligion said: "Nicole, that statement is the most inhuman piece of trash to come out of the mouth of someone who claims to love their fellow man."

I respect your opinion regarding my post.

noreligionblog said...

Same day? Nice try Rick but as I could have predicted your way off.

noreligionblog said...

Nicole, what you were trying to show is evident but how does that 'list' show that those disasters were caused by man?

Nicole said...

The Jews are God's chosen people. Whoever messes with them gets the smackdown from God. All of the disasters listed happened to the US when we were trying to give Israel's land, God's land actually, away to the Muslims. We did something, God no likey equals smackdown.

noreligionblog said...

Yet I would like to know how it is evidence that the disasters were caused by man.
